Union Government today approved the appointment of Sh. Farooq Khan, IPS (retd.) and K K Sharma, IAS retd as advisors to assist the Lieutenant Governor of UT of J&K for effective discharge of duties.
According the order the appointment shall be effective from the date they assume charge of the post. The L-G shall issue the necessary orders for their appointment.
J&K was made a UT from 31st October and the appointment is seen as a step to boost the development agenda of the centre in J&K.
Farooq Khan and KK Sharma were working as advisors to Satya Pal Malik along with Other three advisors, however Vijay Kumar, Skandan and Ganai have not been continued as Advisors.
